Due to the influence of a tropical depression located off the western coast of Kyushu, warm and moist air is flowing into the region, causing highly unstable atmospheric conditions. This instability has led to the development of localized rain clouds, particularly in southern Kyushu.
In Kagoshima Prefecture, which is located in the southern part of Kyushu, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has issued warnings about the possible formation of a linear precipitation zone from the evening of the 21st until the evening of the following day. This phenomenon can lead to a rapid increase in the risk of disasters, prompting the JMA to urge residents to remain vigilant.
