According to a report from Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Fire and Disaster Management Agency, more than 7,500 people were hospitalized due to heat stroke across the country in the week leading up to August 10.
Heat stroke, a serious condition that occurs when the body overheats, can be particularly dangerous during Japan’s hot summer months. It is crucial for individuals, especially the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions, to stay hydrated and avoid excessive heat exposure.
