As Typhoon No. 15 makes its way through Japan, significant disruptions to train services have been reported in the Kyushu region, which is located on the southernmost of Japan’s four main islands.
According to JR Kyushu, the railway operator in the region, as of 11 AM, some sections of the Nippo Main Line and Nippō Line have suspended operations. Additionally, the Yoshitsu Line is completely halted due to heavy rain and volcanic ash fallout, which can occur in areas near active volcanoes.
Residents and travelers are advised to check for updates on train schedules and prepare for potential delays as the typhoon continues to affect the area.
