Typhoon No. 15 Brings Intense Rain to Southern Kyushu

Typhoon No. 15 is currently moving northward over the waters south of Kyushu, a region in Japan’s southernmost main island. As it approaches southern Kyushu, the area is experiencing intermittent heavy rainfall.

The typhoon is expected to continue its path along the Pacific coast of western and eastern Japan through May 5. There is a significant risk of high rainfall totals, particularly along the Pacific side, which could lead to landslides and flooding in low-lying areas. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions against these potential hazards.
