The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has reported that a tornado or strong gusts of wind may have occurred in the Soya region of Hokkaido, Japan. At 10:11 AM local time, the agency issued a “Tornado Warning Information” alert for the area.
Hokkaido is the northernmost of Japan’s main islands and is known for its diverse climate and geography. The Soya region, located in the northern part of Hokkaido, is characterized by its coastal areas and agricultural landscapes.
