Oriental Land Considers Revising Ticket Prices for Tokyo Disney Resort

Tokyo, June 6 — Oriental Land Co., the operator of Tokyo Disney Resort, is considering a review of ticket prices for its two popular theme parks, according to company president Wataru Takahashi.

In his first major interview since assuming the role in April, Takahashi spoke with multiple media outlets on Thursday and revealed that the company is evaluating its current ticket pricing system.

Since March 2021, Oriental Land has implemented a variable pricing structure, adjusting prices based on the day and season. Currently, there are six price tiers, ranging from ¥7,900 to ¥10,900.

“We are reviewing the six-tier pricing model,” Takahashi said. “However, we have no intention of increasing prices across the board without caution. We’re also considering introducing new ticket types.” He added that the company will closely monitor inflation and its impact on daily life before making any changes.

Although Tokyo Disney Resort launched a new themed area in June last year, annual attendance only rose by 0.2% through March 2025 compared to the previous year. High ticket costs have been cited as a potential reason for this stagnation.

Takahashi noted a shift in strategy, stating, “Rather than simply focusing on increasing visitor numbers, Oriental Land wants guests to have a high level of satisfaction. We aim to enhance the overall value of the park.”
